Nuevotrioporteño emerged in March 2008 when Paolo Russo met Diego Sandullo and Ricardo Canepa in Buenos Aires. As the band came together they soon started creating music and developed a unique musical style. The original tunes composed by the band members, all of whom have Italian roots, reverberate with the rhythms of tango nuevo, candombe and milonga, elements of jazz, and the lyricism of Argentine and Italian folksong.
